People, when dating, usually have a list of attributes that they use to filter out undesirable people. Add a bad credit score to that list. As the job market for the millennial generation continues to languish in its 8th year, people who have their financial act together don’t want to be brought down by a partner’s bad credit rating. Everything costs more when you have bad credit.
Something I learned when I co-signed on a cell phone bill for one person and a car loan for another person: if someone doesn’t care about their own credit score, they won’t care about yours.
